وَإِذَا لَقُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ شَيَٰطِينِهِمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا مَعَكُمۡ إِنَّمَا نَحۡنُ مُسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

Verse meaning

This is the verse translation, not a definition of the individual word.

When they meet those who believe, they say, “We believe.” But when they are alone with their evil ones[1], they say, “We are certainly with you; we were only mocking.”
